EVENT: A Wild Snorlax Blocks the way!

Ulsai! On August 28th a new event will unfold.

Snorlax, Snorlax everywhere blocking everyone's path from exiting Turnbloom City. How did they get there? Why are they there?! It's okay, it's just Snorlax doing what Snorlax does: sleep once it's belly has been filled but it's really inconvenient.


Event Duration: August 28th~September 4th September 10th

• It will last for one week real time!
• In  game time it will only last for a day, and takes place after the festival.
• A special guest character might appear!?
• There will be a lot of Snorlax. Some are wearing costumes for some reason!!!

ADDENDUM: At the end of this event the rest of Ohritori Island will be accessible to players!
Please note this event is OPTIONAL. Players are free to do whatever they wish, and even make posts of their own into the community! Players can also make a separate post entirely about the event too!

*UPDATE (as of Sept. 1st): Just a heads up, Dreamwidth has announced a potential site downtime this weekend due to moving servers. So we decided it's best to extend the event until the 10th of September to give everyone more time to tag back and catch up.

I have two losers:

Lear (princeofpasio) and Barry (bsodrival)!!!

I don't have any huge plans for either. These are just the general ideas I've got: Barry will absolutely be trying to push Snorlax out of the way and not be successful at it.

Lear? Lear will be making an attempt to transport himself out with Hoopa. Come watch and laugh at him as he fails hilariously.

I'd like to do an event where the Pokemon Center's door is blocked by a Snorlax for a bit? I was thinking it'd be for an hour or two at most, in-universe, before the Snorlax rolls over or something, so nobody is totally blocked if they don't want to, but a "stuck in the Pokemon Center" event would be fun. Is that allowed? (and should the snorlax wear a nurse uniform?)

Jun will absolutely try to catch one (because surprisingly this particular iteration of the Sinnoh rival doesn't have one in his canon) but is also down for further shenanigans involving the Snorlax if anyone wants to do anything with him!
