Is everyone familiar with Palentine Day? The holiday that kicked off in Pasio and popularized to the rest of the regions that happens on one day in February? Well get ready to–

March 14th is the Ulternian Holiday: Return Day!

What is Return Day, you ask?

The name for the holiday came about from the move Pokemon can learn: Return, an attack that grows stronger the more a Pokemon likes its trainer.

Just like the name of the attack, people spend that day to return the gratitude and affection to those who love them back in their lives. Bonus if they have received a gift from them during Palentine’s (which of course, is optional!).

As usual any comments, concerns and questions feel free to shoot it our way! And feel free to make any plans with your fellow players too! 😊

Before we go into the talk about the event we would like to take this time to thank everyone for their patience on how quiet/slow things have been on our end. We also hope everyone is having a wonderful winter holiday season!

Speaking of which… what's this? There's news and rumors about Delibirds peeking around places in Ultern? From the forests to the cities to even the harbor?

For those not new, and to those that are: it's just a yearly routine for the Delibirds preparing for everyone's favorite Winter Wonder holiday! They're setting out presents for everyone--or, they would be anyway.

Seeing as how there's been nothing but trouble as of late during a holiday event this is no exception! If things have gone as normal the Delibirds would be out passing or leaving behind a cute little present to all and Articuno showing up at some point to blanket Ultern in snow which is a very lovely sight!

Unfortunately… this year on DECEMBER 25th 12 AM CST the event will kick off with a certain Pokemon Doctor in dire distress. Moreso than he was the prior year before. Just why could that be? Well, stay tuned to find out!

Also speaking of which: for the hanging threads on the previous event this is absolutely this mod's fault. General workflow due to the holiday and burn out made me chew more than I can--so for those who wish to wrap up the thread please let me know!

EVENT DURATION: OCTOBER 25 ~ OCTOBER 31

The Harvesting Bonds Festival and Calyrex are back again but there's a twist lurking around the corner! What is the twist? Tune in during the day of the event to find out for more details! Of course like last time Ulternians and drifters alike are coming together to decorate, dress up and share food with one another! It's a big party all over the Ultern!

In fact there's a lot more ghost and dark type Pokemon out to play too. It's not a surprising sight to see Pokemon both tamed and wild dressed up for the occasion! What a good time everyone will be having!

Note, that the date for this event has been shortened to a week now! It will kick off starting on the 25th of this Month!

Wow, it’s almost a full year since Faraway Place has opened–nife debiru, thank you all who have been with us throughout this ride, and to our new players as well!

We will have an anniversary post popping up on the 20th (tomorrow!). It will be time for a summer festival, yet again!

As the year is about to close and we have been open for about 4 months and a week or so we would like everyone's input on how we can improve on the game, or any suggestion you may have!

So for those who are familiar and those who aren't--

❄️Ulsai!❄️We're wishing everyone a happy Holidays!

In light of the holiday season we're setting up a new event!

EVENT DURATION: December 23~January 7th!

This will act as a mingle post for players to come hang out, and exchange gifts between their characters (if they wanted!)
-The whole island will be filled with decorations originating from various regions, even Ulternian ones!
-Players will get a special visit from a certain Pokemon bearing a gift for them. What's inside is totally up to the player!

Pokemon that will make it's appearance: Plenty of Ice Types, and Pokemon dressed up in costumes much like the Harvest Festival. There may even be NPCs making comments about a certain group of Pokemon lurking around the island.

Howdy everyone! Things are slowing down at the mod team's end, but we'll be picking up the pace once we've settled things behind the scenes. There is an upcoming event this month for the approaching spooky season!

EVENT DURATION: OCTOBER 13 ~ OCTOBER 31st

Yet another festivity is being prepared for as new decorations will be noticeable in both Gilterrace Town and Turnbloom City along with the following:

There will be a surprise guest who will be handing out candy to everyone, specifically in Gilterrace Town!
A number of Pokemon in costumes will show up both in the wild, and in the streets
Sightings of Ghost, Psychic and Dark type Pokemon will increase and will be noted upon by the NPCs

As usual players are free to choose whether to participate in this event! That said in posts, the special guest just may show up with a treat or maybe even a bit of a trick...? Who knows!

I know you've been waiting for some news, so thank you for your patience! How's everyone doing so far? Hopefully you're all enjoying with what Turnbloom City has to offer. With September rolling in, that means the fall season is settling into the region. And today, I've got some brand new updates for you all!

Just giving everyone a heads up that due to RL circumstances there will be a delay for our plans to open up the rest of the island. So in the meantime, enjoy your time at the Mingle Post and the Snorlax Event! Backdating posts and backtagging is highly encouraged as the mods sort things out offline.

Ulsai! On August 28th a new event will unfold.

Snorlax, Snorlax everywhere blocking everyone's path from exiting Turnbloom City. How did they get there? Why are they there?! It's okay, it's just Snorlax doing what Snorlax does: sleep once it's belly has been filled but it's really inconvenient.

Event Duration: August 28th~~~September 4th~~ September 10th

It will last for one week real time!
In game time it will only last for a day, and takes place after the festival.
A special guest character might appear!?
There will be a lot of Snorlax. Some are wearing costumes for some reason!!!

ADDENDUM: At the end of this event the rest of Ohritori Island will be accessible to players!
Please note this event is OPTIONAL. Players are free to do whatever they wish, and even make posts of their own into the community! Players can also make a separate post entirely about the event too!

*UPDATE (as of Sept. 1st): Just a heads up, Dreamwidth has announced a potential site downtime this weekend due to moving servers. So we decided it's best to extend the event until the 10th of September to give everyone more time to tag back and catch up.

Please remember to tag your own posts when creating a post of your own onto the community!

Feel free to plot together within the comments, and if there's any questions or concerns in regards to the event feel free to ask away!
