General plotting post

Mods are busy I guess, so this is a plotting post for everyone to talk about their future plans/ideas/plots/etc!

For my part, Gold's going to be taking short part-time jobs in the future, starting with an upcoming post at the cafe in Turnbloom City's Pokemon Center, featuring Trip and Mr. Larson! Since it's a three-person post, it's hard to talk about over PMs, so we can talk about the specifics of how we're going to do that here.

(Also, if anybody's got ideas for other part-time jobs for Gold, let me know!)

Thread for talking about the cafe post plans here!

So, which of us will make the post, and what kind of prompts will we have? I'm thinking the prompts will be for after Gold's started working, and we'll have one thread set to before that, locked to the cafe staff, when Gold shows up for work the first time and meets Trip, or something like that.

I've never been very good at intros, so I think it'd be best if someone else started, maybe you could! ^^ I'm also a liiiittle burnt-out on roleplaying lately (probably not the fault of rp itself, the game is fun and I love who I'm playing with, work just has me tired)... it looks like it'll improve though, since I was given more days off this week than the last, so if it contiues like this/goes back to my old schedule, I should have more energy again! ^^

Then again, maybe it's best I start so Gold could show up after? It might be a good thing, too, since I did actually need to inform other folks that he'd gotten work done! That way I can have a closed prompt/thread for Larson and Gold and open ones and ones closed to those who hired him earlier. ^^ Thanks for the idea!

Since Trip started working before Gold, I guess it'd make sense if you made the post. Though there's always also the option that Larson, as the boss, posted it? But I wouldn't mind posting it either! I just need to figure out what kind of a post it would be, what kinds of prompts, etc. Should there be one prompt for Trip and another for Gold, or how should it work? I'm utterly new to rp, after all, so I don't know what'd be the best way ^^;

If either of you prefer it I don't mind starting up the post (or make a thread on a post???) for the cafe shenanigans time with Larson! Although it will have to be after my shift today which is later tonight for me. (for reference it's 11 AM CST here)!

There's no real hurry to make it or anything! But I guess it'd work best if Larson was the post starter, since he's the cafe owner and all.

What kinds of prompts, though? Something a general "if you're in the Pokemon Center today, you might see this" sort of thing? Gold would be cheerfully taking orders with a well-practiced customer service smile, probably.

Yes, prompts like what you see in the event posts, so different people can interact with different ones.
One prompts can be closed to just staff (so only for Gold, Larson, and Trip) and other prompts can be open to whoever interacts with them as customers (or otherwise). ^^

Okay! So does the person who posts it usually decide the prompts on their own even if it's a multi-person post?

Yup! And sometimes offers a wildcard/make-up-your-own prompt option. ^^

I see! I guess assumed it'd be something the post participants would talk over as a team and workshop, since it seems like a lot of pressure on the post creator to decide on all of it on their own.

Anyway, a wildcard option sounds good to me!

Trip's gotten in contact with Professor Banyan, so everyone (like Alice and Red!) who asked him to collect information on the various unique-to-Ultern Pokemon species and forms, Trip should be getting back to! He'll have pictures he took himself along with information he got from the Professor, like a print/book-form Pokedex for those who can't update their old PokeDexes and don't want a new one—Professor Banyan offers new ones anyway! ^^

Trip's got a job as a barista in the Pokemon Center's attached cafe, yep, as mentioned above.

Alice does need to get over herself and get a new Pokédex...

That she does, but he'll provide her with his work anyway!! And the Professor will probably be happy to provide her with a new one whenever she feels up to it!

(She can always keep her old one as a memento, right?)
