SEPTEMBER UPDATES & PLOTTING POST

🌺 Ulsai! 🌺

I know you've been waiting for some news, so thank you for your patience! How's everyone doing so far? Hopefully you're all enjoying with what Turnbloom City has to offer. With September rolling in, that means the fall season is settling into the region. And today, I've got some brand new updates for you all!

---

① New Locations Unlocked!

As it turns out, the reason these Snorlax showed up in Turnbloom City due to the food that was left over from the summer festival. And thanks to the efforts of the local police and the Pokemon Rangers in herding away and returning these Snorlax back to where they came from, the roads are open again, doorways are cleared and people can come and go into their houses without worry. With that in mind, now your characters are free to explore the entirety of Ohritori Island as they please!

The clouds surrounding the map have blown away, fully revealing the island's shape.



Here are the following areas your character can access:

• Gilterrace Town


• Shrouded Woods


• Overlook Peak

All four routes of Ohritori are also free for your character to explore and venture around! They can frolick around the fields, visit some scenic areas while on the road, or camp out and be in tune with the nature around them. Of course, everyone's free to catch some wild Pokemon, both familiar and unfamiliar, along the way.

"Just keep in mind." warns a local, "Be very careful as you walk through the tall grass, and make sure a wild Dunsparce doesn't happen to see you."

Strange that most Ulternians seem fearful whenever they hear the name "Dunsparce", and a few road signs in every route can be seen cautioning travelers about encountering them. But that can't be right. Surely they're overreacting somehow. Dunsparce are pretty timid little fellows, after all... right?

② Rules & FAQ update!

I have placed an additional rule in regards to what characters you can bring into the dressing room. And with new locations unlocked, I'll be updating details regarding the Mystery Shrine and upgrading the Pokedex, as well as information regarding entry tags. Check them out in the Rules post and FAQ post.

③ New Pokedex entries!

Eight brand new entries are now added into the Ulternian Pokedex! Here are the following Pokemon your character may also encounter throughout Ultern:

Paras

Paraspor

Parasect

Blissey

Wiki

Dodaerie

Doduo

Dodrio

Dunsparce

In addition, the rarity of each Ulternian Pokemon that your character may encounter around the region is even indicated. You can read all of their dex entries in the Pokedex post.

④ The fall season is here!

In Ultern, given it's a tropical region, it's rare to find any trees that would change its leaves to the usual colors of autumn. However the temperature in this season has definitely become milder, and nights are much cooler than they were in summer. Rainshowers and thunderstorms will be more frequent around this season, so be sure to bring an umbrella at all times.

Due to this, there will be an uptick in mass outbreaks of water-type and electric-type Pokemon in the wild due to the shifting weather.

⑤ ...And other stuff!

A lot of things behind the scenes forced the mods to re-adjust whatever plans we have for the dressing room, so for the rest of September, we'll be taking a break from throwing any new events. You're all free to backdate posts if you'd like!

In the meantime if you'd like to further develop any CR with other characters, or let your character ensue chaos in some form around the island, or have an event of your own in mind, feel free to discuss here in this post.

Giratina will probably try to take up residence at the Memorial Garden (or if it ends up getting too much traffic, the deep parts of Shrouded Woods). This might flush out more easily-intimidated Pokemon from the area... apologies to anyone who gets caught in the swarms 🤪🤪🤪

So here are a few things I have in mind for Ash:

• Meet Prof. Banyan


• Glamping with Lear


• Moon-viewing festival -- he'll just be seen monching over dango as usual


• Looking for new Pokemon around Ohritori

Hi, Sable here! I kind of sadly fell off a bit with Oleana, so I decided to bring in a new character to test around--I might bring Oleana back at some point to mess around when I'm more confident, but for now, I have this boy! An AU Calem who became immortal thanks to Lysandre and Xerneas' power, became a gym trainer for Valerie of Laverre City, and has just now kind of realized that it really sucks to be watching the world age around you, uh. More info can be found in his journal!

For now, my sole plans for him are as follows:

- He's gonna be primarily journeying to Gilterrace Town just to kind of see what's up, but along the way, he's going to be attempting to see what kind of natural materials he can gather from around here to try and make clothes with/trade for materials. :|a

- Calem's also likely going to be looking for some part time work? Mostly to try and finance being able to fix/make anyone some clothes, so if anyone wants to do anything with that, I'm down for it! Let him fix you up some cool stuff and learn more about fashion--

- He's pretty used to roughing it from his days as a traveling trainer (which totally wasn't 10+ years ago, hush), so if anyone needs help, he's more than happy to offer it.

- Let him battle!! Either with his own team, or if you wanna get an idea of how strong Laverre City's gym trainers are, he will gladly provide.

- ...tbh i'd love for him to talk with any other ageless/immortal people or pokemon because he's inclined to keep that shit very tightly under wraps. even so, feel free to sense something Off about him? i imagine xerneas' bullshit can be felt in some manner or another.

hello, new pokefriends. i'm June and i'm bringing in swsh Marnie and her Morpeko. she's mostly from the games, but i did watch the one episode of the anime where she popped up and fought Ash (just yesterday). haha. i've only played with her a bit on discord, so i'd love to get some voicetesting on dw in.

i'm no longer using plurk, so poke me here if you'd like to play with her. i don't have any solid ideas for a post right now, but i'm willing to tag others, and something may come to me later on in the month. i know i want her to find a Coinpur eventually. it's not a dark type but it's supurr cute!

Over all he'll be headed for Gilterrace and just might even rope anyone who is willing to help him in his endeavors in improving on Pasio being the KING OF PASIO HAHAHA!

Gold isn't yet sure what he even wants to do in Ultern, so he'll just be wandering around looking at interesting things. I'd like him to visit the farms in Ohritori Island, and maybe meet the professor?

Also, I think I'd like to do a general event/mingle post, something like "the rainstorm has driven you to a shelter, where you meet a surprise other person" or "a swarm of aggressive Dunsparce appear, what will you do?"

I'm using that bullet point format a few others have been doing, partly because it's already almost the end of September, and partly because it's nice to keep it casual. AS IT IS.

Things on the docket for Espurr...
- dig a tunnel house. MAYBE UNDER THAT LOOKOUT HILL?? it'd be cool
- earn a posse. Technically a pokemon team but like.....................she feels weird abt pokeballs and really can one blame her???
- at least once i will give her the static blow dry treatment she will look like a large violet cotton ball I am DETERMINED
