NOVEMBER UPDATES & INTRO/PLOTTING POST

Howdy everyone! Things are slowing down at the mod team's end, but we'll be picking up the pace once we've settled things behind the scenes. In the meantime, we're excited to bring you more news of what's to come in Ultern and the dressing room in general. So it's time for another round of updates!
Mystery Dungeons are now an explorable area for characters to check out! Much like from the games, these areas are very unpredictable as the layout seems to shift and change every time you enter it. It's the worst place you'd want to get lost in really.
There will be more Mystery Dungeons to come in the future. But for now you characters are free to explore the following:

Speaking of locations...
Now players have the freedom to add their special landmark in each route or town! It can be an apartment they rented, a cafe they frequent to, a campsite they've set up, or a shop they decided to open up or just work at. These will be permanent additions to the setting unless the player says otherwise. Just head over to any of the links of each location in the settings page, and fill up the form before commenting!
For those wanting to challenge Tobi and take on the Ulternian Pokemon League in the future, you're in luck. Tobi returns to Turnbloom and is stationed in his Gym, awaiting new challengers to take him on and hopefully captivate his audience.
In addition, social media sites will be flooded with Tobiloveds talking about his return. And many of his fans will be filling in the seats of Gym cheering for Tobi.

Rainshowers and thunderstorms are now less frequent this time of the month, and not as strong either compared to last month's. And while being on a tropical region means there would be no snowfall happening, strong winter winds and cold temperatures are sure to be expected starting from this month until January.
In celebration of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's launch, starting from November 18th your characters are more likely to find a large abundance of Paldean Pokemon showing up in the Ohritori wilderness. Yes, from Smolivs to Lechonks to even Wigletts. Even Pokemon with their Paldean forms will also appear in the wild such as Wooper. Your characters are free to battle and capture them upon encountering.
This mini-event will be running until the end of November.

New location: MYSTERY DUNGEONS!!
A small tremor shook the entire island of Ohritori. And although there are no reports of damage or any casualties known, road inspectors that were checking Turnterrace Tunnel would later discover an opening in the tunnel walls. A few days later, there had been updates that the newly discovered opening is in fact... a mystery dungeon.

Gym Leader Tobi returns from his tour!

If you only know the first run or two, no worries; 9 years of lore might be a lot, but Alice's deal is pretty much settled, and now she just hangs back in the void with the other past hosts and pops into timelines that need her. Except now, because she's here. Her dad was evil, she follows the Dome Fossil, and she's from a randomized run, so her team is... weird. Her Sandslash is on fire, her Slaking doesn't have Truant, her Altaria was raised by Eevee, that kind of weird. I'm sorry in advance for any and all tangents and exposition dumps.

I don't have too much of a concrete flag and I expect to play Lear more than Red, who would just sporadically show up being the massive weirdo that he is.
Lear however will be roping people he has proclaimed to be his retainer(friend) (ASH THAT"S YOU) into challenging the Ulternian League! FOR PASIO'S FUTURE! CHOP CHOP! Of course he just may be challenging other trainers to battle him or something along those lines lol

I originally invented Mandy in my teenage years, back when I couldn't resist proposing oddball characters for forum RPs. Their intended game was gijinka-focused – one where all Pokémon were stuck in humanoid form for plot reasons – but due to lore handwaves Mandy eventually became a character who just sorta exists in a "normal-ish" Pokémon game setting (albeit one where glitches are part of the world rather than a purely Doylist artifact of the medium) despite their human disguise.
Looking forward to threading with y'all! Mandy'll probably be avoiding the Mystery Dungeons if they can help it - too fragile! - but they might attend one of Tobi's matches/concerts just to see what all the fuss is about.
