muteswans, etc., I'm close to being all done with what I have to do, so hiatus might end soon (either this week or after Ramadan, we'll see!], maybe a reformation-in-process Attila (buson) post is due soo toon~ I also brought in Champion Iris as of the tournament thread! It's the same Iris as heartofdragons with a big canon update, aha, so I'll now be using etherealdragon for her replies. ^^
Feel free to recognize Attila, as he'll be heading out... undisguised, pretty soon. Obviously not in Rocket uniform, since he's trying to distance himself from that, and he'll be dropping the Akira persona (... might still don [... more casual, light and summery yukata, now] kimono and ocassionally the hat when it's sunny, but the rest of the time, it's probably just tank tops and jeans, etc.), but he'll confirm it's him it if he's asked and he won't go to lengths to hide his hair or anything.
He definitely has a bunch of Pokemon (and one-former-Pokemon?) who recognize him, including some wild Ulternian ones who hate his guts for what he did on arrival, ffff. Consequences are expected and welcome, I do not expect everyone to make nice with Attila or even believe he's sincere. o/

Indefinite hiatus
Apr. 5th, 2023 12:39 pmserperiorityI’ve been meaning to post this for a week or so, but I’ve been falling behind on things I’ve got to prioritize this month, so I’ll be taking an indefinite hiatus.
I might wrap up some threads that are ongoing, especially for Lillie and Attila, but otherwise, I’m through.
It’s been fun! Loved the world-building and CR. It’s very true to the spirit of Pokemon and it’s so warm. The user base here has been one of the nicest and most welcoming I’ve ever played with.
This affects:serperiority, timidlyblooming, buson. lavieenmarron, and heartofdragons (although I barely played her this month, she’s always been on the periphery, oops….)

She's very chatty, hyperactive, tomboyish, strong-willed, loyal, brave, but incredibly clumsy. ^^;; Her present state is actually an improvement on her previous clumsiness too... oh, she can be a bit blunt and rude too, sometimes, and a tiny bit boycrazy (she crushes on Alain and Siebold in her first appearance, etc.), but she's very lively and fun! ♥

General plotting post

For my part, Gold's going to be taking short part-time jobs in the future, starting with an upcoming post at the cafe in Turnbloom City's Pokemon Center, featuring Trip and Mr. Larson! Since it's a three-person post, it's hard to talk about over PMs, so we can talk about the specifics of how we're going to do that here.
(Also, if anybody's got ideas for other part-time jobs for Gold, let me know!)

EVENT: Winter Wonders

In light of the holiday season we're setting up a new event!
EVENT DURATION: December 23~January 7th!
This will act as a mingle post for players to come hang out, and exchange gifts between their characters (if they wanted!)
-The whole island will be filled with decorations originating from various regions, even Ulternian ones!
-Players will get a special visit from a certain Pokemon bearing a gift for them. What's inside is totally up to the player!
Pokemon that will make it's appearance: Plenty of Ice Types, and Pokemon dressed up in costumes much like the Harvest Festival. There may even be NPCs making comments about a certain group of Pokemon lurking around the island.

There is an upcoming event this month for the approaching spooky season!
EVENT DURATION: OCTOBER 13 ~ OCTOBER 31st
Yet another festivity is being prepared for as new decorations will be noticeable in both Gilterrace Town and Turnbloom City along with the following:
- There will be a surprise guest who will be handing out candy to everyone, specifically in Gilterrace Town!
- A number of Pokemon in costumes will show up both in the wild, and in the streets
- Sightings of Ghost, Psychic and Dark type Pokemon will increase and will be noted upon by the NPCs
As usual players are free to choose whether to participate in this event! That said in posts, the special guest just may show up with a treat or maybe even a bit of a trick...? Who knows!

DELAY NOTICE

So in the meantime, enjoy your time at the Mingle Post and the Snorlax Event! Backdating posts and backtagging is highly encouraged as the mods sort things out offline.

EVENT: A Wild Snorlax Blocks the way!
Aug. 25th, 2022 09:16 pmulternnpcUlsai! On August 28th a new event will unfold.
Snorlax, Snorlax everywhere blocking everyone's path from exiting Turnbloom City. How did they get there? Why are they there?! It's okay, it's just Snorlax doing what Snorlax does: sleep once it's belly has been filled but it's really inconvenient.
Event Duration: August 28th~
- It will last for one week real time!
- In game time it will only last for a day, and takes place after the festival.
- A special guest character might appear!?
- There will be a lot of Snorlax. Some are wearing costumes for some reason!!!
Please note this event is OPTIONAL. Players are free to do whatever they wish, and even make posts of their own into the community! Players can also make a separate post entirely about the event too!
*UPDATE (as of Sept. 1st): Just a heads up, Dreamwidth has announced a potential site downtime this weekend due to moving servers. So we decided it's best to extend the event until the 10th of September to give everyone more time to tag back and catch up.
Please remember to tag your own posts when creating a post of your own onto the community!
